- Type a postcode into the Search box, either on the Maps page at the top,
or on the Welcome page in the bottom right-hand corner (the
'Tips' link will give you more information on what other things you can search for).
- Click on the Go button next to it.
- A list of matching postcodes will appear in the table. If the postcode you typed in is matched exactly, only that one will be listed. Click on the postcode you want to see and the map will be redrawn with your postcode displayed in the centre, at approximately 1:5,000 scale.
- If the postcode you typed in is only partially matched, a list of possible options will appear for you to choose from and display, or to refine your search.
If it can't find your postcode it may be because you typed it incorrectly, or it may not exist in the
database correctly. Try typing in just the first part - you will then get a list of postcodes which start
with the same bit you typed. Select your postcode from this list or request the next values, if there are
more on offer.
