Sometimes the background layers can clutter the map. You can turn the background off or on by clicking on the Background mapping Tool . It acts as a switch, so you use it to click off and then again to click back on again.

In addition, when using the Agri-environment Schemes map, you can turn on or off some of the other map layers - the HLS Target Areas, Environmental Stewardship Scheme agreements, Countryside Stewardship Scheme and Environmentally Sensitive Areas agreements, English Woodland Grant Schemes (combines Woodland Grant Scheme and English Woodland Grant Scheme) agreements. Tick or un-tick the boxes next to their names to the left of the map underneath the Agri-environment Schemes map name.
