Zooming in or out and panning around with the 'Standard' maps are described below. To navigate the Targeting and Planning Map click here.

The Zoom control to the left of the map image lets you zoom in or out in stages by clicking either on the or symbols to zoom in or out a step, or by clicking on one of the little 'pip' marks in between, to jump straight to that scale. One of these pips is always highlighted, indicating the approximate current scale that you are viewing at. If you get lost, clicking on the pip mark just next to the zoom out symbol will take you to England scale again.

There are eight small arrows around the edge of the Map which, when you click on them, re-centre the map in the direction of the arrow. The map will move half a map (width or height) for each mouse click.
